The Way I See It #58

I have faith. Faith in our wondrous capacity for hope and good, love and trust, healing and forgiveness. Faith in the blessing of our infinite ability to wonder, question, pray, feel, think and learn. I have faith. Faith in the infinite possibilities of the human spirit.

  1. That is a faith which is sure to disappoint. “the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live” (Ecc. 9:3) and “Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool” (Proverbs 28:26). Rather, “Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God” (Psalm 146:5). Praise God for the gospel that frees us from the slavery of faith in ourselves and other men. Praise God that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost” (1 Timothy 1:15).
